Jair. I'm a Music Education student at Kansas State University. I was born in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico. At the age of 9, my family and I moved to Junction City, KS, and have been there ever since.
In 6th grade I decided to join the school band playing the flute. I immediately fell in love with music - being in ensembles gave me a ton of experiences that I otherwise would not have the chance to experience. It was these experiences that showed me what career I wanted to pursue.
Throughout my time at K-State I have been involved in a variety of groups and ensembles that have shaped me into the person I am today and the future educator I will become. Some these include the Pride of Wildcat Land Marching Band, Wind Ensemble, Concert Choir, PubCrawl Band, Cat Band, Volleyball Band, and Orchestra. In these ensembles I have taken a variety of leadership positions such as Piccolo Section Leader and Student Staff.
Some of my favorite things to do are to travel with my fiance, Chris, and hangout with my cats, Monkey and Natasha.
